The teams usually include representatives and experts from Logistics, Management, Finance, and Procurement, as well as experts who are end-users from each area. A key function is to go beyond ‘coding’ and ‘tech support’ and to provide a bridge for each of the other parts of the company to cross over and build a stronger interdisciplinary solution.

I thoroughly understand Dynamics and how to use the functionality of the modules to match business successfully and compliance needs such as SOX Compliance. Managed various software applications for Mail Management Department, Materials Distribution Agency and Security and Parking (MB Justice Dept)

Supported GP 5.5 for 45 user community within the Manitoba Government.

Upgraded DOS- based Great Plains to Dynamics 5.5 with assistance from Deloitte

Software Design 

Created Dexterity code and design in the sales module, which handled 3rd party billings on one sales invoice, as well as discount and caps on the deductibles from the client (patient) and WRHA (regional Health Authority) and government co-pay)

Created custom applications (Visual Basic) and reports (Crystal Reports) for split-billing of medical supplies within the framework of government policies and processes.

Created custom applications using VB 5 and VB6, SQL Server, Crystal Reports and Access.

Integrated GP 5.5 and 7 with SAP for payables management module.

Created custom order fulfillment application in GP to expedite rush orders and automate order fulfillment by postal code and truck routes for faster shipping and reduced costs.

Process Improvement

Business Process re-engineering of broken processes to better the organization, some of these included sales order and supply chain enhancements as well as inventory and purchasing changes.

Managed 17 unique product lines within the government and provided various reports on each for sales and marketing teams.

Improved customer service by creating automatic email alerts to customers as the order status changed in the GP system thereby improving the appearance of the customers purchasing experience.

Upgrade and Conversion

Upgrade from GP 8 to GP 10 and GP 10 to GP 2010

Data migration from obsolete 3rd party modules to new modules; including data mapping, test plans, and creation of user manuals.

Dexterity customizations to GP’s payables and financial modules to integrate 3rd party billings and to integrate GP with the AS400 Cable Billing System.

Microsoft CRM 4.0 with Scribe integrations to GP for marketing and customer service tools for business development , TV advertisers and sales reps.

Process Engineering

Led the implementation of Acellos bar-code software to change from a manual picking, packing, and receiving process to an automated process, saving an estimated seven staff persons or about $210,000 per annum with process re-engineering.

Custom programming using Modifier, VBA, VB.NET, T-SQL, SRSS and Crystal Reports to customize GP 10 to enforce business rules, create applications or enhance the experience.

Manage SQL Server 2008, including database backups, admin, upgrades, service packs as well as create Stored Procedures in T-SQL, views, tables and SQL Reports.

Technical Support

Daily functional technical support for a 90-user community in all modules (listed at right margin). Troubleshoot and problem solving of general errors, financial misbalancing problems, inventory issues and more.

Support Doclink document imaging and workflow system, integrated to the payables module.

Created requirements and functional specifications documents for custom software development work within GP.

Reporting and Management

Projects include constructing a capital reporting workflow, expense reporting tool for all departments and  financial / inventory and sales analysis reports.

Development of Full life-Cycle GP processes from year-end closings, fiscal year-end closings, setup of all modules listed, and maintenance of the system with service packs and hotfixes.

Implementation of bar-code software and wireless terminals for inventory management and serialization to increase order fulfillment and receiving accuracy and speed.
